New Visa Requirements

Gryphon has received a document (see download link below) from the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) that provides a statement on the new visa requirements.  The document was issued by Iraq's Ministry of Interior.

Per the document, a committee of Iraqi government officials has been formed to work with US officials on strategies to facilitate full compliance of new requirements by all US Government personnel and contractors (Para. 2). 

“Such facilitation will permit continued diplomatic and reconstruction engagement by United States Government and affiliated contractor personnel…in the interim, no law enforcement or legal action will be taken against United States Government or affiliated contractor personnel on these matters until the Committee issues recommendations and the Ministry of Interior agrees that these issues have been resolved.” (Para. 3)
